St Croix Reels
St Croix reels are a perfect complement to their rods. The Avid Casting Series, the Avid Saltwater Series, and the STX spinning reels for fresh water. The STX series uses a 7 bearing system and comes in two different sizes. The STX2000 is a 4.7:1 ratio, holds 110 yds of 8' test and weighs in at 8.5 ounces. The STX2500 has the same gear ratio, weighs 9.9 ounces, and hold 170 yds. of 8' test. The Avid casting series includes the St Croix AC200 ($200) and AC200A ($230). Both are 5.1:1 and the AC200A holds a lot more line and weighs about 3 ounces more. St Croix Avid Salt Water series has three different reels: AS3000SW: 4.8:1, 28 ounces, 4 +1 bearing, 200/10'AS4000SW 4.9:1, 34 ounces, 4 + 1 bearing, 300/10' AS4500SW 4.9:1, 36.6 ounces, 4 + 1 bearing, 310/14' Like I said before these St Croix reels are a perfect compliment to their Avid rods.
